Diamondback expects a $97m cash derivatives loss for the third quarter
Diamondback Energy expects a $97m net cash loss on third-quarter commodity derivative settlements, the producer said in a Thursday filing.
Hedges reduced the average realized oil price to $85.89 a barrel from $87.30 unhedged. Natural gas fell to $0.90 per Mcf from $1.12. The realized price for natural gas liquids was unchanged at $20.02 a barrel.
Diamondback also expects an $85m non-cash derivatives loss. The filing puts the combined net loss on commodity contracts at $182m.
