China's September exports rise 29.6% in yuan terms
September goods exports reached 3.03tn yuan, up 29.6 percent from a year earlier, China's General Administration of Customs said at its third-quarter trade press conference on October 14.
Imports rose 24.6 percent to 2.13tn yuan. Combined trade reached 5.16tn yuan, up 27.5 percent, deputy head Wang Jun said. It exceeded 5tn yuan for the first time in a single month.
Exports grew faster that month.
The relationship was different over the first nine months as a whole. Exports rose 16.4 percent to 23.2tn yuan, while imports increased 22.3 percent to 16.74tn yuan.
All these figures are measured in yuan. They describe trade values, rather than changes in the physical volume of goods shipped.
