Azenta will close three North American Multiomics laboratories and reduce its workforce under a restructuring plan approved October 5.
Three labs will close.
The company expects $11m to $13m of pretax charges, including about $9m of asset impairments and about $3m of severance and other restructuring costs. It estimates about $7m of future cash spending and $11m of annualized savings once the plan is fully implemented.
Employee notifications began Tuesday. Azenta expects to recognize substantially all charges in fiscal 2027 and finish most of the plan by March 31, subject to legal and consultation requirements.
The filing does not identify the laboratories or say how many positions will be eliminated.
