America's Car-Mart's lenders extended temporary default waivers and covenant relief through October 15, the used-car retailer said in a Thursday filing.
The prior deadline was October 8. The relief covers anticipated or existing defaults under the credit agreement and the company's obligations to maintain minimum liquidity thresholds and a minimum collateral coverage ratio.
A board special committee continues to evaluate financing, recapitalization, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and other transactions. The company says discussions with third parties and lenders remain active.
The extension is temporary. The filing gives no assurance that a permanent waiver, a transaction or a sustainable capital structure will follow.
