The state dispatch board carried the call from 8.21 this morning with remarks describing a roadblock. On a reading taken at 9.56 a.m. those remarks read ROADWAY CLEAR.
The state has dropped the roadblock from the call itself as well. The entry type read VEHICLE CRASH W/INJURIES AND ROADBLOCK through the morning and now reads simply as a crash with injuries. Every other field on the row, including all three timestamps and both coordinates, is unchanged, which is what fixes this as the same call rather than a second crash at the same junction.
The board does not stamp the moment a remark changes, so the reopening can only be placed within a window. This desk read the roadblock remarks by hand at 9.39 a.m., and an automated reading of the same row at 9.49 a.m. was the first to carry ROADWAY CLEAR. The road came back somewhere in those ten minutes, and no closer figure than that is available.

An earlier version of this item, published shortly after the crash, reported that the road had reopened after twelve minutes. That was wrong. It read the 8.33 arrival stamp as a clearance, when what that cell records is the trooper reaching the scene. The road in fact stayed blocked for roughly an hour and a half beyond that stamp, which is the opposite of what the mistaken version said, and the correction is left standing here rather than quietly dropped.
Almost nothing else about this crash is established, and the road reopening does not change that. Clearing a carriageway is a traffic decision, not a medical bulletin. No agency has released a vehicle count, an injury count, a name, a vehicle type or a cause. The Highway Patrol has published no statement and neither has the Collier County Sheriff's Office. Nobody has been accused of anything.
The word injuries is the state's classification of the call and not an account of anyone's condition.

White Boulevard and 31st Street Southwest are county roads rather than state highways, and they were on this board all the same.
