Flood advisory extended to 4 p.m. for Naples and East Naples
A Flood Advisory remains in effect until 4 p.m. Wednesday for west central Collier County, including Naples and East Naples. The National Weather Service says minor flooding is ongoing or expected in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

A National Weather Service Flood Advisory remains in effect until 4 p.m. Wednesday for west central Collier County, including Naples and East Naples.
The Weather Service extended the advisory at 2:41 p.m. after Doppler radar indicated heavy rain from thunderstorms. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain had fallen, and up to 1 additional inch was expected during the advisory period.
Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Drivers should not enter a flooded road.
The advisory originally was scheduled to end at 3 p.m. The 2:41 p.m. update extended it by one hour.
