Lake Fairways boil water advisory remains active for 90 North Fort Myers homes
A boil water advisory remains in effect for 90 homes in the Lake Fairways community in North Fort Myers. FGUA says service was restored after a water main break, but homes on Congressional Court cul de sacs 13 through 17 and Innisbrook Court cul de sac 35 should keep boiling water used for drinking or cooking for one minute until the authority posts a rescission.

A boil water advisory remains in effect for 90 homes in the Lake Fairways community in North Fort Myers after a September 2 water main break.
The Florida Governmental Utility Authority says repairs were completed and water service was restored at 10:30 p.m. Samples were then sent to a laboratory certified by the Florida Department of Health. The authority still lists the advisory as active.
Which homes are affected
FGUA identifies six cul de sacs: 13 through 17 on Congressional Court and 35 on Innisbrook Court.
Residents in those homes should bring tap water used for drinking or cooking to a rolling boil for one minute, or use bottled water. FGUA says it will rescind the advisory after laboratory results indicate the water is safe.
The authority said a rescission was most likely by Monday, September 7. Until an update appears, residents should continue following the FGUA notice.
