Drivers should expect temporary daytime lane closures as technology work moves through Lee County's three toll plazas, according to a Cape Coral Breeze report of a county transportation reminder.
Work is underway at the Sanibel Causeway Toll Plaza. The report says work begins at the Midpoint Bridge Toll Plaza on September 14 and continues there and at the Cape Coral Bridge Toll Plaza through September and October.
Only one lane is scheduled to close at a time. Other lanes that are normally inactive may be opened to keep traffic moving. Drivers should follow message boards and signs, slow down, expect changing lane patterns and allow extra time.
The report says the work must occur during the day at the Midpoint and Cape Coral plazas because of the equipment and lane configurations. No bridge closure is announced.
