The Florida Highway Patrol logged a crash on Interstate 75 southbound at mile marker 141 in Lee County at 11.21 on Sunday morning, and by lunchtime it was off the board.
The Patrol's first note on the call read that there was an unknown roadblock in the area. Ten minutes later the note had been revised to say the right lane was blocked for emergency vehicles and to use caution, which is the most specific thing the Patrol published about it.
Mile marker 141 is the stretch of the interstate east of Fort Myers. The coordinates the Patrol carried on the row reverse geocode to the Tice and Morse Shores area of unincorporated Lee County, in the 33905 ZIP code. The Patrol's own location string brackets the incident as Fort Myers, which is the mailing address there rather than the city boundary, and this item names the smaller places because the mile marker is what a driver will recognise.
The board was read directly three times just before one o'clock, at 12.54 and twice at 12.55. One thing is worth stating as an absence rather than as an all clear. The Patrol's incident type on this call is a vehicle crash with a roadblock, and it carries no injury wording at all, unlike the Collier County call logged an hour later in the same direction on the same road. That means the Patrol's record does not say anyone was hurt. It does not mean the record says nobody was. Nobody has been named and nobody has been accused of anything.
Conditions were not a factor. The National Weather Service active alert feed for Florida was read on the same run and returned one active alert in the whole state, none of it touching Lee or Collier. Lee County had seven customers without power out of 536,017 at the time, so nothing here was part of a wider utility event.
