It took the left lane southbound, and at one point the Patrol also had a block on westbound Alico Road on the overpass itself, which is the part that matters for anyone who was trying to get across rather than along. The Patrol's clearance stamps read 8.57, its own comment on the row had turned to the words ROADWAY IS OPEN by the time this desk captured it at 9.24, and by lunchtime the entry had come off the state board altogether. A direct read at 1.17 in the afternoon returned a fully populated board of 56 incidents statewide with not a single Lee or Collier entry on it. So the road is moving. Alico Road is the reason a forty minute lane block here costs more than forty minutes. This interchange is the main way in and out of the Alico corridor, the distribution and industrial spine of south Lee, and it feeds Florida Gulf Coast University traffic and the Three Oaks and San Carlos Park commutes at the same hour. There is no parallel interstate. When the left lane goes at 8.43 on a Monday, the queue builds through the morning peak and clears long after the crash does. Be careful how much weight you put on any of this. The board carries the calls the Patrol chooses to publish to it. Its going quiet means the Patrol's own entry is closed, not that every vehicle and every crew is off the shoulder. What you can see through the windscreen is better evidence than a dispatch board. On what actually happened, the public record is thin and this item keeps it thin. The Patrol's incident type carries the words with injuries and that is the whole characterisation available. The call changed shape five times on the Patrol's public dispatch board over the following forty minutes, and this desk's watcher captured each version.

It opened as a vehicle crash with injuries at mile marker 127, with the comment "UNKNOWN ROADBLOCK". Five minutes later the type had been upgraded to a crash with injuries and a roadblock, the location moved to the overpass at mile marker 128, and the comment read "ROADBLOCK IN THE LEFT LANE". Five minutes after that the Patrol had spelled it out: "ROADBLOCK WESTBOUND ALICO RD ON I-75 OVERPASS IN LEFT LANE". So for part of the incident the block was across the Alico Road crossing itself, not only the interstate lane beneath it.

The Patrol's second and third timestamps on the row both read 8.57, fourteen minutes after it opened. By the time the watcher captured the row again at 9.24, the comment had become "ROADWAY IS OPEN".

The board was then read directly at 1.17 on Monday afternoon. It returned 56 incidents across the state, a genuinely populated grid rather than an empty one, and not a single entry in Lee or Collier County. The call is closed and off the board.

One point on the location is worth stating plainly. The Patrol renamed the same incident from I-75 to SR-93 partway through, which is not a move: SR-93 is Interstate 75's state road number in Florida. The three sets of coordinates the Patrol published on the row all land on I-75 in Lee County when put through a geocoder, but they spread about two and a half miles between them, so this item places the crash at the Alico Road overpass, which the Patrol's own comment names twice, rather than claiming a precise mile marker.

What the Patrol published about the crash itself is very little. The incident type carries the words "w/injuries" and nothing else. There is no injury count, no severity, no number of vehicles, no cause, and no names on the record. Nobody has been named and nobody has been accused of anything. No fatality is reported.

Conditions were not a factor as far as any record goes. The National Weather Service active alert feed for Florida was read on the same run and returned two active alerts in the entire state, neither touching Lee or Collier. There are no active storms in the Atlantic.
