Northbound Interstate 75 at Naples is open again, the state's remarks field on the mile marker 111 fatality now reading roadway open, ending a second full closure that stood for about an hour and a quarter

The Florida Highway Patrol has reopened northbound Interstate 75 at mile marker 111 in Naples. The remarks field on its fatality call there now reads that the roadway is open, and it still read that on two readings a second apart at 8.46 this evening.

This is the same Collier County call this desk has followed since it appeared as a disabled vehicle shortly after half past four this afternoon, not a new one. The receipt stamp of 4.29, the dispatch stamp of 4.30, the arrival stamp of 4.40, the county, the location string and the published coordinates are identical to every earlier reading. The only field that has moved is the remarks.

The change can be placed within five minutes. The state publishes no stamp for when it edits a row, but this desk polls the same board every five minutes and stamps each check in UTC. The check at 8.39 still carried every northbound lane as blocked. The check at 8.44 is the first to carry the roadway open remark. No tighter time than that window is claimed here.

Nothing new is known about the person who died. The Highway Patrol has said that a person was killed and the Collier County Sheriff's Office has said that a van and a box truck were involved and that two people were being treated, both of them through Gulf Coast News earlier this evening. There is no name, no age, no cause and no account of fault on the public record, and nobody has been accused of anything.

One other Collier County row sat on the same board tonight and is worth setting down for what it is rather than what it might be. A separate crash was received at 4.49 this afternoon on Interstate 75 southbound at the same mile marker, its remarks reading no roadblock and its dispatch and arrival cells both empty. It is twenty minutes after the northbound call at effectively the same point of road. No connection between the two is claimed here, because the board supports none.
