The Collier County Sheriff's Office confirmed to the outlet that it received a call about the fire at around 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Deputies said they do not yet know how the fire started. They also said they do not yet know whether anyone was inside the trailer at the time.

Gulf Coast News reporter Jackie Guenther, who was at the scene, described a very strong smell of smoke, and said the mobile home was completely charred and is now just the shell of a home.

The outlet reported that crime scene units were at the site alongside firefighters while the investigation continued. That is reported here because the outlet reported it, and it is not a finding. No authority has said this fire was suspicious, nobody has been named, and nobody has been accused of anything. A scene examination is ordinary where the cause of a fire has not been established.
