Fort Myers crews rescue a dog from a house fire that was out shortly after 9:30 a.m.

A dog inside a burning Fort Myers home was rescued and returned to its family Tuesday morning, the Fort Myers Fire Department said. WINK News reported the rescue under its WINK Digital Team byline.
The department's statement places the dispatch just before 9 a.m. Crews saw smoke rising from the home when they arrived and began fighting the fire within minutes.
The fire was extinguished shortly after 9:30 a.m. The department reported no injuries. Its account gives no street address or cause, and does not say whether residents were displaced.
