A crash at the Golden Gate Parkway interchange with Interstate 75 in Naples put a roadblock on both the southbound entrance and the southbound exit ramp for part of the morning, and both are clear again

A straight down aerial photograph of a rural road junction, showing a main carriageway crossing the frame and two curved slip roads looping away from it through green grass and rows of young trees, with two small cars on the roads. No signage, lettering or place name is legible anywhere in the frame and no place can be identified from it. A generic junction illustration, not a photograph of the Golden Gate Parkway interchange, of Naples or of this crash.

Both ramps at the Golden Gate Parkway interchange with Interstate 75 in Naples are clear again after a crash blocked them for part of the morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol logged the crash at 7.43 a.m. and recorded a unit on scene a minute later. By 7.49 a.m. its board carried a roadblock on the ramp from Golden Gate Parkway onto Interstate 75 southbound at exit 105. A second entry for the same crash appeared by 8.04 a.m. against the southbound exit ramp on the other side of the interchange, with identical times.

Both entries were gone from the board by 9.55 a.m. Two direct reads three minutes apart return the same absence against a grid carrying 55 and 54 incidents statewide, so the rows have come off rather than the read having failed.

The board puts no time on that. Its third timestamp field, where a status change is normally stamped, stayed empty on both rows for as long as they were visible, and the remarks never advanced past an unknown roadblock. What can be said is that the ramps were recorded blocked at 8.04 a.m. and were no longer listed at 9.55.

Nothing else about the crash has been made public. No agency has released a vehicle count, an injury count, a name or a cause. The Highway Patrol has published no statement on it and neither has the Collier County Sheriff's Office. Nobody has been accused of anything.

No local outlet appears to have carried it. Gulf Coast News published its dated traffic blotter for August 6 at 8.51 a.m. and its only Southwest Florida entry is a separate crash on Interstate 75 in North Fort Myers. WINK News could not be checked in this run, because its feed rate limited the attempt, so it is unchecked rather than silent.

The usual jurisdiction limit applies. The Highway Patrol board carries state roads and their ramps. It does not carry Collier County or City of Naples streets, so Golden Gate Parkway away from the interchange is unreported rather than confirmed clear.

Two construction entries remain on the board in Collier, both on the Collier Boulevard ramps at Alligator Alley exit 101, dated August 4 and August 5. They are lane closures for roadworks and are unconnected to this.
